【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverspreformedexpansionjointfillersmadefromclosed-cellpolyolefinmaterialshavingsuitablecompressibilityandnonextrudingcharacteristics.1.1.1TypeI,closed-cellpolyethyleneorblendedpolyethylene.1.2Thesejointfillersareintendedforuseinconcretepavementsinfull-depthjoints.Thereareseveralvariationsinsize.Atypicalsizemeasures0.5-in.(12.7-mm)inthickness,4.0-in.(101.6-mm)inwidth,and10-ft(3.048-m)inlengthandwillrelievestressoravoidpotentialdistressinadjacentstructuresorpavements.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
