【摘要】:Uraniumhexafluorideisabasicmaterialusedtopreparenuclearreactorfuel.Tobesuitableforthispurpose,thematerialmustmeetthecriteriafortechnetiumcomposition.ThistestmethodisdesignedtodeterminewhetherthematerialmeetstherequirementsdescribedinSpecificationsC787andC996.Usingthespecifiedinstrumentationandparameters,thismethodhasalowerdetectionlimitof0.0004x03BC;gTc/gU.Note18212;Differentinstrumentationorparametersmayprovidevaryingdetectionlimits,ascalculatedin11.4.1.1Thistestmethodisaquantitativemethodusedtodeterminetechnetium-99(99Tc)inuraniumhexafluoride(UF6)byliquidscintillationcounting.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
